Mercedes-Benz Cartoons

With a Mercedes-Benz it’s not about being seen – it’s about knowing…a sense of quiet confidence. It’s a car that takes you places without making a big show. From the legendary Gullwing and timeless style of the Pagoda, to more contemporary models, what better than a cartoon to capture such character, along with memorable motoring moments. While you likely didn’t get a Mercedes to be showy, it might be fun to show off a cartoon of one to family, friends, and fellow enthusiasts.

Cartoons capture what photos can miss

A photograph records a moment. A cartoon brings it to life. From a special jaunt to the country and the look on someone’s face when they reached the destination. Or perhaps there’s a family or car club in-joke about your Mercedes-Benz. Unlike a photograph, a cartoon can capture a moment the camera missed…or can exaggerate a situation for comic effect. Cartoons can really help to capture the character of the car and not just the appearance. Cartoons are great social moments – people laugh, they love showing friends, they display it proudly and talk about it with friends. There are so many mass-produced gifts, and searching around for something unique can be time-consuming – so instead I can create something specially for you that will carry real emotional weight.

The perfect gift for Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts

Whether it’s a gift for a Mercedes-owning partner, parent or friend — or a way to celebrate your own connection to German engineering and one of the world’s great cars — a personalised Mercedes-Benz cartoon is something genuinely unique and deeply personal. Not only that, but it’s a reminder of a memorable motoring moment every time you glance at the cartoon hanging on the wall.

Birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, retirement — a personalised cartoon works for any occasion. And because every commission is different, no two cartoons are ever the same. It’s not just a gift. It’s a story told in cartoon form.

Every Mercedes has a story worth capturing

It could be a car that’s been in your family for a couple of generations, or a project that you’re currently having restored, every Mercedes has a tale to tell – hopefully of joy, but classic car owners sometimes have also had a few trials of ownership along the way as well.

But more than the car itself, it’s your story that matters. Maybe it’s the first time you saw one, or sat behind the wheel. The club trip you’ll never forget. The moment you finally found the exact model you’d been searching for….for ages. Or simply a Sunday morning spin in the countryside.

Whatever you and your car’s story — a personalised cartoon captures it in a way nothing else can.

Anything goes in a cartoon

I don’t just draw the car. I can put you, your dad, your partner, or club member behind the wheel — it might tie-in with a special occasion such as an anniversary or retirement. I could even add your dog hanging out of the window, taking in the countryside air…ears flapping in the wind.

The background can feature a favourite scenic spot, somewhere you’ve driven past on a club run or holiday tour, your house, or something more stylish or stylized altogether. The possibilities are genuinely endless — and that’s what makes a cartoon so different from a photograph. With a cartoon, there’s huge artistic flexibility, and the result is something completely and uniquely yours.

Where does the art end up?

Imagine the cartoon framed and hanging on the garage wall…or perhaps the spare bedroom…it might even be pride of place in the hallway or dining room. Cartoons are often popular items to put in the loo. And of course it could go on the wall of the man-cave along with lots of other motoring memorabilia. No matter what the final hanging space, cartoons are a stunning gift that become a talking point wherever they’re displayed.

Case study – The schnauzer in the gullwing

This one was a particularly fun to draw as I’ve always loved Giant Schnauzers! This commission came about because while Sara realised that neither her or her husband could ever afford one of the legendary Gullwings, her husband Steve could be the owner of one in cartoon form. And while you probably wouldn’t want a Giant Schnauzer in such an expensive car, even if you could fit one in, in cartoonland anything goes, and so Klara got to join them in their dream automobile.

HERE’S HOW IT COULD LOOK ON A WALL

Now imagine where you could hang a cartoon in your own home. It might be proud of place on a living room wall, or perhaps in the kitchen. Man-caves and garages are natural habitats of cartoons, and they have been known to pop-up in spare bedrooms and loos!

How it works

The process is straightforward and enjoyable. Get in touch and tell me about your Mercedes-Benz — the model, the colour, your registration number, and any special details, memories or in-jokes you’d like included. The more you tell me, the more personal the result.

I’ll come up with ideas for you to choose from, or bring your own vision to life exactly as you imagined it. Once you’re happy with the concept, I’ll draw the cartoon and share it with you for approval before delivering a high-quality digital file, ready to print and frame at any size you choose.

Most commissions are completed within one to two weeks — though I’m always happy to discuss tighter deadlines if you need something for a specific occasion.

Mercedes-Benz cartoon commissions come from owners wanting to celebrate their car, partners looking for the perfect birthday gift, and enthusiasts who simply want something on the wall that captures their passion.
