How It Works
Know exactly what you want? Great, let’s do it. Not sure? We can figure it out together.
Want yourself in the picture? Your registration plate? Your mates from the club? That trip to France you did last summer? Just tell me what matters to you.
A Bit of History
André Citroën started building cars in 1919. By 1934 he’d launched the Traction Avant with front-wheel drive and monocoque construction. Everyone else took about twenty years to catch up. The French police ran them for decades. So did the Resistance.
The 2CV came in 1948. The brief was brilliant: get farmers across ploughed fields without breaking eggs. What they got was an icon – cheap, cheerful, and impossible not to love.
Then 1955. The DS. Honestly, it still looks futuristic today. That suspension system, the self-leveling, power steering – all standard. They were so proud of it in France they stuck one in the Louvre. “DS” sounds like “déesse” – goddess. Bit dramatic maybe, but have you seen one?
The SM pushed even further. 1970. Maserati V6, directional headlights, looks that could stop traffic. Didn’t last long enough, but what a thing.
After That
The CX kept the weird and wonderful going through the 70s and 80s. The XM was properly plush. Even the C6 – discontinued now sadly – showed Citroën could still make something different in the luxury market.
The Picasso models? Even their people carriers were interesting. That’s just how Citroën works.
Shall We?
Whether you’ve got a Citroën sitting in your garage, you’re saving up for one, or you just appreciate cars with a bit of soul – let’s draw it.
I’ve been at this for a while. Every Citroën’s different and I reckon that deserves celebrating.
Drop me a line and we’ll sort something out.
